ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal said on Thursday that Prime Minister Imran Khan doesn't enjoy immunity from anti-graft body's probe.
"People are naive to think that we have insulted prime minister. In fact the case against him shows the supremacy of law in Pakistan, and it has increased the honour of premier," he said while speaking at an event.
“If the leader of the opposition can face such probes then the premier also doesn’t have the immunity from NAB probe.”
The premier promised to end financial malpractices from Pakistan, the action is a first step towards materialising the promise.
"NAB is not under pressure since day one from giving concession to the members of treasury benches. Even if such pressure comes, NAB won't bow down," he said.
