South African Captain thanked hospitality of PIA with a special gesture

South African captain, Quinton De Kock, thanked the hospitality and the services of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) by sending them a signed South African jersey. PIA shared the image of the signed jersey on their official Twitter account.

The tweet read, “South African Captain Quinton de Kock sent an autographed shirt to thank our CEO, Air Marshal Arshad Malik for his hospitality and service with PIA. The shirt will become part of our memorabilia. We are humbled that the Proteas chose PIA for their tour of Pakistan.” ------------------------------

South African players were satisfied with the arrangements of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and PIA. The players were vocal about the top-notch facilities and security provided to them on their historic tour of Pakistan. ------------------------------

PCB arranged chartered flights for the Proteas to move within the country for the Test and T20I series. This was arranged keeping in view the COVID-19 pandemic.

South Africa is touring the country for the first time since 2007. The two-match Test series has already concluded, while the three T20Is are scheduled to begin from 11 February.

South Africa Test squad has traveled back to the country, meanwhile, the T20I squad has already arrived in Lahore to report to the bio-secure bubble set up by the PCB.

The South African team management has revealed that Quinton de Kock will be relieved of his duties as captain, in order to let him focus on his batting and wicket-keeping. They revealed that a new captain will be announced soon.
