Islamabad: New developments reported over bail plea of former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Ahsan Iqbal.The Islamabad High Court adjourned hearing bail pleas of former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and former federal minister Ahsan Iqbal till February 13, GNN reported.
According to details, IHC's division bench comprising of Chief Justice Athar Minullah and Justice Luba Saleem Pervez heard the pleas.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's lawyer Barrister Zafarullah and Ahsan Iqbal's lawyer Tariq Mehmood Jehangiri will appeared before the court.
As the hearing started, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor requested the court for more time to submit its response in bail pleas of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leaders.
The court gave 3-days deadline to NAB to submit response in this regard. The court remarked that the accountability bureau will not get more time in future as it is their last respite.
The court then adjourned the hearing till February 13.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has filed bail plea in the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) contract case while Ahsan Iqbal file plea in Narowal Sports City scandal.
