ISLAMABAD: Power supply to eight districts of Balochistan was suspended after the National Transmission and Distribution Company’s 220KV transmission lines developed a fault.
The affected areas include Quetta, Sibbi, Bolan, Mastong, Noshki, Chagi, Pashin and Kila Abdullah.
According to QESCO officials, the fault developed at around 1am on Thursday after which the 220KV transmission line tripped, suspending power supply to eight districts of the province.
Temporarily, power supply to Quetta has been restored from an alternative source.
The authorities are working and power supply will be restored soon, said QESCO spokesperson.
