HANGU: The Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) defused an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Lakhti Banda area here on Monday.
According to BDU officials, local people spotted an IED which was planted in the fields in Lakhti Banda area and informed the BDU.
The BDU team rushed to the site and successfully defused the remote controlled explosive device. Later, they searched the surrounding areas for any other IED and declared it clear.
A case was registered against unknown miscreants by the local police. (APP)
