Washington: US President Donald Trump on Wednesday night requested theSupreme Court to invalidate millions of votes in the key states that led toJoe Biden’s victory.

In a filing related to Texas Attorney General, Ken Paxton’s, case againstWisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Michigan, the US President hasrequested the apex court to intervene and invalidate millions of votes inthese battleground states.

In the statement, Donald Trump has alleged that these states used the novelcoronavirus pandemic as an excuse to “ignore or suspend numerous statelaws”.

He asked the Supreme Court to stop the four battleground states from usingthe “infirm 2020 general elections results” unless they are reviewed by therespective legislatures.

The filing comes just a day after the High Court denied a request byPennsylvania Republicans to block certification of the election results.

Trump has been accusing democrats of “stealing” the elections held on November2, in which former Vice-President Joe Biden handily defeated the President, mainly through postal ballots
