Islamabad: Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry on Thursdaycondemned India for its mass propaganda campaign to malign Pakistan andinternational institutions.
In a weekly briefing, the spokesperson said that India had failed to damagereputation of Pakistan despite its malicious activities.
His statement comes after EU Disinfo Lab, an international researchorganization, uncovered an Indian network of disinformation involved inmaligning Pakistan. In its campaign, which is dubbed as “Indian Chronicles”by the researchers, Delhi resurrected dead websites, NGOs, think tanks andeven impersonated persons who have died. The network works in Geneva andBrussels to garners support for Members of European Parliament (MEPs) forIndia and discredit Pakistan and other opponents.
FO spokesperson said Pakistan also condemned Indian move to target Muslimyouth on the pretext of anti-conversion law, which is dubbed by Indianmedia as “Love Jihad”.
Chaudhri said that Prime Minister Imran Khan in his message on the 36thSaarc Charter Day called for regional cooperation for the betterment ofhumanity.
Responding to a question, he said that people in illegally occupied Kashmirare under siege since India has revoked its special status. He said thatthree innocent Kashmiris were killed in Pulwama on Wednesday, adding thatIndian forces martyred 95,728 Kashmiris in extra-judicial killings and fakeencounters.
