ISTANBUL – Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi held importantmeeting with US top diplomat Alice Wells.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi Monday met with United StatesAssistant Secretary Alice Wells and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoganat the sidelines of Heart of Asia conference in Turkey.
Important issues including bilateral trade between Pakistan and Afghanistanwere discussed during a meeting between Shah Mehmood Qureshi and AliceWells.
During the meeting, FM Qureshi expressed that there was a Pak-Afghan tradeand investment group working under Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC). He added that Pakistan is looking forward to APEC meeting which istaking place in January 2020 in Kabul.

On the other hand, FM Qureshi also met Turkish President Recep TayyipErdogan, during which they discussed bilateral relations and the situationin the region.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi sent a congratulatory message on behalf of Pakistanileadership to Turkish President. The Foreign Minister thanked Erdogan forthe cordial welcome and hospitality in Istanbul for Heart of Asia -Istanbul Process.
