Inzamam claims the board is trying to cover up their actions, stating thatthe chairman came for a 4-month term, but now they have extended it byanother 3 months. He emphasized that he is willing to take responsibilityif the team performs poorly but is not seeking to escape.
Pakistan is still in the semi-final race. Inzamam highlighted theresponsibility given to him and Babar Azam and expressed readiness to facethe consequences if the team doesn’t perform well. He mentioned resigningafter the board formed an investigative committee.
Inzamam also referred to Saya Corporation overseeing player transactions,and the ICICI-approved tax-paying company. Inzamam recalled theirinvolvement in making helmets for Saaya Corporation and clarified that notransactions have started with Yazo. PCB chairman assured Inzamam ofresolving the matter.
