ISLAMABAD: Pakistan-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group has said therelations between the two countries in the field of trade and commerceneeds to be increased and impediments to this end may be overcome withmutual consensus.
Talking to Members of Iran-Pakistan Friendship Group led by Ahmad Amirabadiand Trade Minister of Iran Reza Rehmani in Tehran, Convener of the GroupSyed Naveed Qamar ensured that the group will facilitate to further improverelations between two brotherly countries who share long border, commonreligion and history.
He said being neighboring countries, both countries have largeropportunities for trade and commerce which would benefit two countries andPakistan can export rice, fruits, vegetables and meat to Iran.
Talking on the occasion, Chairman, Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir SyedFakhar Imam apprised Iranian side regarding ongoing situation in IndianOccupied Kashmir especially after revocation of the special status of theregion. He presented great gratitude to Iranian side for standing andsupporting principles of justice in case of Kashmiris.
The head of the Iran Friendship Group stressed upon need to exploremechanism for banking relations, improving trade relations, establishingborder markets and Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline.
He said the Friendship Groups in the Parliaments of both countries willfurther facilitate in overcoming the impediments towards promotion of tradeand commerce relations between two countries.
