UN warns worst human crisis in Gaza after Israelis inhumane acts

In Geneva, the United Nations humanitarian office issued a concerningreport on Tuesday regarding the dire situation in Gaza. It revealed thatnearly 200,000 people, which amounts to nearly a tenth of the population,have been forced to leave their homes since the beginning of hostilities.This mass displacement has triggered grave concerns about impendingshortages of essential resources, particularly water and electricity, dueto an ongoing blockade.

Jens Laerke, the spokesperson for the United Nations Office for theCoordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), emphasized the alarmingescalation of displacement across the Gaza strip.

He disclosed that more than 187,500 individuals had been displaced sincethe previous Saturday, with many seeking refuge in schools. Furthermore, hewarned that the number of displaced people is likely to rise as clashes inthe region persist.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the World Health Organization (WHO) alsoreported a distressing situation in Gaza. The WHO revealed that there hadbeen a total of 13 attacks on health facilities in the Gaza strip since theweekend.

Additionally, the organization expressed deep concern that its medicalsupplies, which were stored in the region, had already been depleted,further compounding the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
