ISLAMABAD – Federal Cabinet is likely to take important decisions over keyissues of national importance, sources have revealed.

Prime Minister (PM), Imran Khan has called a meeting of the federal cabineton Thursday to review the economic, political and security situation of thecountry, media has reported.

The cabinet members will be taken into confidence on the new program ofInternational Monetary Fund (IMF) and details of talks with the FinancialAction Task Force (FATF) delegation.

Following the arrest of PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif, the session wouldalso mull over the mechanism of recovering illegal assets from the ownersand the performance of National Accountability Bureau will also beevaluated. Further, the cabinet will be taken on-board for continuingnonstop accountability process, as per the sources.

The launch of PM’s five million houses scheme will be accorded approvalduring the meeting and the Premier will be given briefing on the progressof 100-day agenda of the government, sources said.
