Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Thursday that overseasPakistani are playing key role for development of the country and declaredthem “biggest asset” of the country.

Addressing the launching ceremony of Roshan Digital Account, he said thatthe facility will boost the investment from overseas Pakistanis.

He affirmed that participation of the overseas in the mega projects of thecountry will be ensured, adding, “We want to launch projects that attractforeign investment”.

They [overseas] have to leave the country as they could not get jobs in thecountry, he said, adding: “We can bring them back by implementing besteconomic reforms”.

Dual nationals in Pakistan are commonly considered as traitor, he said butdenied the notion and added that they are actually more patriot thanothers.

Talking about country’s debt, he said that half of the tax amount collectedin the country is used for repaying loan, adding that loan installments arebiggest challenge for the countru.

Dollar shortage caused depreciation of rupee value, hence, increasinginflation in the country, the premier said.
