ISLAMABAD – The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan shared on Monday thestatistics of 90% of state-owned land in KP, Punjab & federal areas & therest houses and official residences built on that land.

PM informed via Twitter and stated, “I have just got figures of 90% ofstate-owned land in KP, Punjab & federal areas & rest houses/officialresidences built on this land.”

“The figures are startling: 34,459 kanals are rural & 17,035 kanals areurban. Just the urban land with buildings is worth over Rs.300 billion,”Khan added.

In a second tweet, linked with the first one, PM further wrote, “So acountry that has to borrow money to pay interest on its loans (burdeningour future generations) – & daily interest payment is Rs 5 b – is sittingon huge amounts of dead capital (just 90% of urban holdings is worth Rs300b) in the form of this govt-owned land with buildings.”
