TEHRAN (IRNA) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced thefiring seven missiles to the base of the terrorists following a missileattack on the position and meeting of one of the terrorist groups onSaturday.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps in a statement explained the missilestrike on Saturday against the location and meeting of the terrorist groupscommanders, and emphasized, ‘The sons of the Iranian nation in the army andother armed forces and intelligence and security institutions, determinedto protect borders of Iran, and the repetition of evil acts by terroristshired by the enemies is facing more harsher responses.’

The IRGC said in its statement, ‘In the wake of the recent evil acts by theterrorist groups affiliated to the global arrogance in the recent monthsfrom the Iraqi Kurdistan region against the border areas of Iran by sendingvarious terrorist teams, creating insecurity and committing acts ofsabotage were trying to destroy the security and the calm of people in theprovinces of West Azerbaijan, Kordestan and Kermanshah, and with theintelligence and readiness of the IRGC’s ground forces, including in thepast few weeks’ operations in the border areas of Marivan and Kamyaran,punishing the terrorists were on the agenda of IRGC.

The statement of the IRGC emphasizes that the leaders of these groups’disregard to the serious warnings of the authorities in the Kordestanregion of Iraq about the Islamic Republic’s determination to dismantletheir bases and the need to end the aggressive and terrorist anti-Islamicmeasures, the IRGC’s missile unit with the participation of the IRGC’s UAVsattended a successful operation in targeting a meeting of the filthy andcriminal gangs and the associated terrorist training centers with sevenground-to-ground missiles.

Based on credible and documented reports of the operation, the terroristhotspot for the conspiracy against Iran’s national security was destroyedand tens of leaders and key elements of the group’s operations were killedand wounded.
