ISLANABAD – The Supreme Court full court meeting was held under thechairmanship of CJP Justice Saqib Nisar.SC has observed that untiring efforts should be made to reduce the pendencyand clear the backlog.This was expressed during a full court meeting held in Islamabad today withChief Justice Saqib Nisar in the chair.The Full Court noted that during the current year from January to August,13,384 cases were disposed of against the institution of 15,175 cases. Itobserved if the Court works with the same pace, the disposal would reach onmore than 20,000 cases, which would be the highest disposal figure in thelast five years.The meeting deliberated upon different strategies for effective functioningof the Court and suggested ways and means so that dispensation of justicecan be further improved and relief can be provided to litigants.
