In a major counter-terrorism success, Pakistani security forces havethwarted a significant infiltration attempt by eliminating 47 terroristsbetween August 7 and 9. These infiltrators, attempting to cross the borderfrom Afghanistan, were part of a coordinated plan to sabotage Pakistan’sIndependence Day celebrations on August 14.
According to security officials, the intercepted terrorists were part of awider conspiracy allegedly orchestrated by India’s intelligence agency,RAW, operating through its networks in Afghanistan. The bannedTehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was reportedly used as a proxy in thisoperation, exposing what authorities are calling “India’s desperate attemptto destabilize Pakistan.”
Sources claim that India, facing growing internal unrest and diplomaticisolation, is now turning to covert aggression against Pakistan. “India istrying to divert attention from its domestic failures by provokinginstability in the region,” said a senior security analyst.
In addition to the external threats, internal elements have also come underscrutiny. The Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) has called for protests onAugust 14, a move some experts see as aligning with hostile narratives.“Such actions, especially at a time of heightened threats, raise seriousconcerns about who benefits from internal dissent,” an official remarked.
