Lieutenant General Ahmed Jasim Maarij Abdullah Al Zayid, Commander IraqiNavy called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa onWednesday.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security issuesand measures to further enhance bilateral defence collaboration werediscussed.
COAS General Bajwa said that Pakistan values its brotherly relationshipwith Iraq and acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by the Iraqi nation infighting terrorism.
The COAS also said that terrorism is a global threat which has thepotential to destabilise the region that needs a well-coordinated response.

The visiting dignitary acknowledged the professionalism of the PakistanArmed Forces and also offered his condolence on the loss of precious livesduring the Heli crash in Balochistan.
He appreciated Pakistan’s role in regional stability and also pledged toenhance military cooperation between the two Forces.
