NEW DELHI – Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centreis likely to bring a bill to prevent conversion of religion. Sources havetold Zee News that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government maybring the anti-conversion bill in the next session of Parliament.

The sources said that the government has already started preparations forthe same and discussion are underway to bring the bill that might preventany kind of religious conversion.

This comes shortly after the conclusion of the Budget Session of Parliamentwherein the government passed key bills like Jammu and KashmirRe-organisation Bill, which bifurcates the state into two Union Territories– Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, and Muslim Women (Protection of Rights onMarriage) Bill, which criminalises triple talaq.
