ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) loses PK-23 Shangla seat afterElection Commission of Pakistan on Friday ordered re-election in theconstituency.
The ECP declared election results from the Khyber Paktunkhwa Assemblyconstituency null and void on the grounds that less than 10 percent womanhad cast their ballots in the election on July 25.
In the July 25 polls, Shaukat Yousafzai of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf wasdeclared winner from the constituency.
According to a complainant, women voters were forcibly stopped from castingtheir votes.
