KARACHI – Former President General (R) Pervaiz Musharraf faces yet anotherblow as Dr Muhammad Amjad, chairman of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML)has resigned from his post.
APML was founded by former military ruler-turned politician General (retd)Pervez Musharraf.
Dr Amjad was nominated as the new chairman of the party by Musharraf afterhe resigned from the position on June 22.
Speaking to the press, Dr Amjad confirmed that he has disassociated fromthe party and will send his resignation to the Election Commission ofPakistan by Monday.
Musharraf founded APML in 2010. Despite the party announcing a boycott ofthe 2013 election just days before the balloting, two of its candidatesstill contested and won two seats from Chitral.
