ISLAMABAD: The interior ministry has sent the arrest warrants for Hassanand Hussain Nawaz, sons of former premier Nawaz Sharif, to the Interpol,sources told Geo News.
An accountability court issued the warrants in the Avenfield reference andissued orders to present the two immediately before the court.link>link>
Hassan and Hussain Nawaz were formally declared proclaimed offender afterissuance of the warrants.
Hassan and Hussain, who have been absconding in the case, were declared”proclaimed offenders” and the court ordered non-bailable perpetualwarrants of arrest against them.
The court on July 6 had also sentenced former prime minister Nawaz Sharifto a total of 11 years in prison and slapped a £8 million fine (Rs1.3billion) on him in the Avenfield properties reference while his daughterMaryam was sentenced to eight years with a £2 million fine (Rs335 million)
