-NAB Chief responds back to Nawaz Sharif allegations and demands

ISLAMABAD – NAB Chief Justice (R) Javaid Iqbal has responded back to NawazSharif’s demand of either submitting evidence or tendering resignation.

National Accountability Chairman (NAB) Javed Iqbal has stated that ifcarrying out accountability was a crime, then it would continue.

Iqbal inquired that whether it was an offence to probe those who indulgedin corrupt activities.

“Unabated corruption will not go unchecked in country from now onwards. Layman will not feel content till complete annihilation of menace ofcorruption”, clarified Iqbal.

The anti-graft watchdog categorically dismissed allegations about allegedhumiliation during NAB’s proceedings.

“Process of accountability is in greater interest of the country. It iswatchdog’s primary duty to ask from guardians of national exchequer thatwhere sum of money is spent”, stating Iqbal while adding that NAB did nothave enmity with any specific individual.
