LAHORE – Police has made progress in the assassination attempt case on theInterior Minister Ahsan Iqbal.
Police have confirmed that the pistol used in attack on Federal Ministerfor Interior Ahsan Iqbal was unlicensed.
During the investigation, suspect Abid told that he brought the pistol andbullets from his friend Kashif in Rs3000 only.
The policemen arrested Kashif and handed him over to Joint InvestigationTeam (JIT). They said that initial interrogation from the suspect has beencompleted while his pir has also been detained.
On the other hand, name of Additional Inspector General inCounter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Tahir has been replaced with AdditionalIG Finance Mohammad Tahir in JIT.
