Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen on Saturday said thatinquiry should be done against him but not over a specific phone call.

Addressing media on Saturday, he alleged the investigation team of beingcontroversial.

Tareen said that he will appear before courts whenever he is summoned andvowed never to escape the law.

Raja Riaz Ahmed and Nauman Ahmad Langrial were also present on theoccasion. Raja Riaz Ahmed said, “We are PTI’s sympathizers and notblackmailers. Prime Minister Imran Khan is our leader and we want to seehim stronger. There are some people around the premier who are targetingJahangir Tareen. We are not seeking any relaxation and will come outvictorious from courts.”

Nauman Ahmad Langrial said, “Jahangir Tareen brought us in PTI respectfullyand we will support him to strengthen the party. Those who want to weakenPTI actually want to weaken Pakistan. I appeal to all PTI members to standwith Jahangir Tareen.”

It is important to mention that Jahangir Tareenlinkandhis son Ali Tareen have been granted bail by a Sessions Court Lahore tillApril 22 in a case related to money laundering through sugar mills.

As per the details, both appeared before the court and their counselrequested to grant bail for a long period due to coronavirus. The lawyermentioned that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had summoned JahangirTareen and Ali Tareen on Friday. Both are likely to be called to FIA’soffice again.
