LAHORE- The crumbling ties between India and Pakistan ever since thePulwama attack, which resulted in the deaths of over 40 paramilitarypersonnel, seems to have prompted Bollywood’s finest actor Amitabh Bachchanto turn down a role in an upcoming Indian movie, reported Bollywood Hungama.
According to a report, Pookutty has been discussing the project with themegastar for two years now and was excited to play the character initially.
A source told the online portal, “Resul had been discussing the script forhis directorial debut with Bachchan Saab for two years now. He loved thepeace message in Resul’s Indo-Pak story. Resul waited for Bachchan Saab’sdates and they were finally supposed to go on the floors, but because ofthe worsening relations between the two countries, Bachchan Saab had secondthoughts.” The report added that the veteran actor wouldn’t want to belabelled as ‘anti-national’ and be ensnared in a controversy which israther unfortunate.
Big B was last seen in Badla, a thriller directed by Sujoy Ghosh withTaapsee Pannu in the lead. The actor will be next seen in the multi-starrerBrahmastra which is being helmed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by KaranJohar.
