NEW DELHI – Two Indian army soldiers were killed after Pakistan armyretaliated to indiscriminate Indian firing and shelling on the forwardpositions along the Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani sector of Rajouridistrict in Jammu division.
The incident occurred on Monday evening when Indian Army violated ceasefireand resorted to unprovoked firing using small arms, automatics andmortars.
Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand, defence spokesman at Jammu, said firingstarted at 5.15 pm and Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively.
“However, in the exchange of fire, Vinod Singh and Jaki Sharma weregrievously injured and later succumbed”, he said.
