ISLAMABAD: Energy Expert Dr. Gulfaraz Ahmed has said on Monday that Neelum-Jhelum is capable to produce 900MWelectricity and would be completed in next year.

In an interview with Radio Pakistan, he mentioned many other projects are also expected to be completed till next year.

Hydel power projects produce cheap electricity as compared to electricity produced by other resources, he added.

Expert said the government has initiated a number of power projects under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and directed the authorities to ensure the timely completion of all the power projects within specified time.

The government is determined to eliminate load-shedding till 2018, he said.

Due to prudent policies of the government all the challenges facing the country have been addressed with significant improvement, he concluded. (APP)
