WASHINGTON – The US Armylink has awarded a contractworth more than a half billionlink Dollarslink tobegin production of Patriot air and missile defense system for the PersianGulf Kingdom of Bahrainlink, Raytheon said in apress release on Monday.
“Raytheon’s Patriot provides the Kingdom of Bahrainlink and 16 other countriesaround the globe with a combat-proven system that protects citizens,infrastructure and armed forces fromlink a broad spectrum ofthreats,” Raytheon Vice President for Air and Missile Defense Tom Lalibertysaid in the release.
The $551 millionlink contractlaunches production of Bahrainlink system as part ofan August link 2019link agreementlink with the USvalued at up to $2.5 billionlink.
