Punjab government employees have a good news from PTI government

LAHORE – The Punjab government has decided to issue Sehat (health) Cards togovernment employees after Prime Minister Imran Khan directed to make acomplete plan in this regard.

Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said that the premier has approvedproviding health cards to the government employees.

Through these Health Cards, families living below poverty line will beprovided US $2 per day with financial protection against extraordinaryhealthcare expenditure. This Sehat Card provides its enrolled poorbeneficiary access to quality indoor healthcare services, worth Rs 720,000,free of cost and with dignity from public and private empaneled hospitalsof their choice across the country.

Wide range of both medical and surgical indoor services are included inthis scheme including heart surgeries, stunts, chemotherapy, radiotherapy,dialysis, maternity and other medical and surgical services.

Those living below the poverty line benefit from the health scheme. As perthe vision of the prime minister, health sector is being given top priorityand work has been expedited to bring improvement in it.

It is expected that upon completion of the program implementation, a totalof 14 million families (approximately 80 million individuals) will beenrolled and benefiting from the scheme in all districts of the country.
