MIRPUR (AJK) (APP): Brisk preparations have been kicked off by the people at both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) in the Himalayan state of Jammu and Kashmir to celebrate Pakistan Day on March 23.

Requisite arrangements are being made across AJK to celebrate Pakistan Day with traditional zeal and fervour coupled with renewal of the pledge to continue the struggle for freedom of occupied Jammu and Kashmir from Indian yoke and accomplish the dream of accession of entire Jammu and Kashmir state to Pakistan, Vice Chairman of National Events Organising Committee Mirpur Raja Qaiser Aurangzeb Friday.

In Mirpur, the major national flag hoisting ceremony will be held at the lush green lawns of Mirpur Municipal Corporation where local Member Legislative Assembly and Minister for Sports and Youth Ch. Muhammad Saeed, Chairman National Events Organizing Committee Mirpur and the city Administrator will hoist Pakistan and AJK flags.

A contingent of AJK Police will present salute to the national flag while the ceremony will be attended by the elders from diverse segments of the civil society.
