Former Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi’s son Rasikh Elahi Fridayappeared before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and recorded hisstatement in connection with a fresh money laundering probe.
According to the sources, Rasikh was summoned by the FIA for investigationin a case registered against him and some other family members. FIA handedover a questionnaire to Chaudhry Rasikh Elhi while he asked for time toanswer the questions.
It is pertinent to note that the FIA registered a FIR against PervaizElahi’s son after the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly. The agencyaccused him committing money laundering of over Rs30 million

According to the FIA, the State Bank of Pakistan had detected sometransactions involving huge amounts of money in the bank accounts of QaisarBhatti (a lower cadre employee of the Punjab Assembly) and three others. Inthis amount, some amount has been transferred to Rasikh and other Elahifamily members.
