*KARACHI – Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi on Sundayvisited foreign navy ships participating in “Multinational ExerciseAMAN-2019”.*
Upon his arrival onboard foreign visiting ships on third day of ExerciseAMAN 2019, the naval chief was warmly welcomed by SeniorOfficers/Commanding officers of respective ships and was presented theguard of honour by smartly dressed out contingents.
The naval chief visited participating ships of Australia (HMAS BALLARAT),China (PLA(N) KUNLUNSHAN), Italy (ITS MARGOTTINI), Malaysia (RMK KDMAHAWANGSA), Oman (RNOV AL-RAHMANI), Sri Lanka (SLNS SAYURALA), Turkey (TCGGOKCEADA) and UK (HMS DRAGON)where he held interactions with Seniorofficers/Commanding officers. The Naval Chief was given briefings onboardships.
During discussions, the naval chief highlighted that Pakistan Navy hasalways been a forerunner in quest for collaborative security in this regionof immense strategic importance and AMAN series of exercises are anchoredon this concept.
The admiral further expressed that camaraderie generated herein will growin future and shall bring us closer to the mutual goal of regional peaceand prosperity. He also appreciated their participation in AMAN Exercise tofulfill common resolve of “Together for Peace”.
Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi interacted with foreign media reps during hisvisit and responded to their questions. The senior officers of therespective ships, highly acknowledged the strenuous efforts of PakistanNavy by bringing together global navies towards shared commitment ofmaritime peace, stability and lawful order at sea.
