WASHINGTON: US President Barack Obama proposed $8.6 billion for Pakistan in upcoming US budget.
US State Department claimed that Pakistan is playing a major role in US anti terrorism campaign and for peace in the region.
The Department claimed that the aid would be transferred through overseas contingency operation funds.
Pakistan will use the funds against terrorism, stability and development of country and for economic and social problems of the country.
US State Department informed that funds would be further used to secure Pakistan’s nuclear assets and for improving bilateral relations between Pakistan and India.
If approved this would be a hug budgetary grant from US to Pakistan for being a coalition member in fight against terrorism in the region.
