ISLAMABAD – Foreign diplomats were briefed at Foreign Office today aboutPakistan’s achievements and challenges in counter-terrorism efforts,unprecedented escalations in Indian ceasefire violations and, gross Indianatrocities in Occupied Kashmir.
The briefing was given by the Foreign Minister, Foreign Secretary, Chief ofGeneral Staff, Director Generals Military Operations and MilitaryIntelligence.
The Foreign Minister said Pakistan has undertaken massive counter-terrorismefforts during last sixteen years.
They were also provided details about the success of Operation Zarb-e-Azband Radd-ul-Fassad and the terrorist threat emanating from the safe havensand sanctuaries in Afghanistan and the RAW, NDS nexus operating againstPakistan.
The ambassadors were shown evidence of an Indian campaign of unprecedentedceasefire violations, provocations and insinuations including terrorism inthe form of IED attacks against innocent civilians on the Pakistan side atLoC and the Working Boundary.
These Indian activities constitute an unfortunate “New Normal” aimed atdestabilizing the entire region.
The members of the diplomatic corps condoled the loss of human lives in theterrorist attack in Quetta yesterday.
The comprehensive and detailed briefing by the civil and militaryleadership was appreciated by members of the diplomatic corps.
