NEW YORK: US Donald President Donald Trumps knowledge of his country’snational anthem is being questioned by criticsafter he sang some ” but not all ” of the Star-Spangled Banner” during theopening ceremony at the College Football Playoff National Championship gamein Atlanta on Monday.

As clips of Trump made the rounds on social media, many mocked thepresident for apparently struggling with the words to the song, accordingto media reports.

Video of the anthem show President Trump getting off to a slow start. Heappeared to mouth some of the words while occasionally pausing and missingsome out.

Some lines and phrases are sung with gusto. The president can clearly beseen mouthing “bright stars” and he finishes with a flourish, smiling andsinging “the land of the free and the home of the brave”.

Other lines are not sung at all. Whether or not he forgot the words is openfor debate. He has been pictured singing the anthem in the past and hasbeen vocal in his support of respecting it.
