ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan stood with the Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh today in Islamabad.
Jamaat-e-Islami staged a sit-in in Islamabad on Thursday to protest against the executions of senior Jamaat-e-Islami leaders in Bangladesh through mock trials for showing sympathies for Pakistan during the 1971 war.
Addressing the gathering, the JI leaders said the executions are contrary to the tripartite agreement signed by Pakistan, India and Bangladesh in 1974.
They urged the international community to play its role in stopping the human rights violations by the Bangladesh government.
