The United States took this step to assist Israel because, according to the White House, several American citizens were either killed by Hamas in the attack on Israel or were abducted.
In this regard, a telephone conversation also took place between the American President and the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, in which President Biden expressed confidence in providing additional military aid.
Following the discussions of the leaders, the U.S. Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, confirmed the supply of ammunition to Israel, stating that a fighter aircraft carrier near Israel is being relocated.
