Despite an increase in the global market price of gold, there is still a decrease in gold prices in Pakistan. According to jewelers, this noticeable decrease in the price of gold is due to a significant drop in the value of the dollar and decreasing gold prices in the international market after the stock market crash.
The price per tola of gold has decreased by 600 rupees today.
According to jewelers, in the local currency exchange market, after this decrease, 10 grams of gold are now priced at 1,78,750 rupees, while the price per tola of gold has dropped to 95,000 rupees.
On the other hand, in the international market, the price of gold has increased to $18 to $23 per ounce with an increase of 98 cents.
