ISLAMABAD - Srilankan top all-rounder breaks silence over reasons for not visiting Pakistan, its not security concern.
Thisara Perera has finally revealed the reasons about deciding against touring Pakistan for the ongoing limited-overs series.
Perera’s name was among the ten cricketers mentioned in the list released by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), who backed out of the tour citing security concerns.
While replying to a fan’s criticism of preferring Caribbean Premier League (CPL) over national duty, the all-rounder clarified his stance over the matter.
“When I was in the Caribbean I got dengue mate. There was no way I could support anyone in any way. Still rested on Doctors advice. People speak without knowing anything,” tweeted Perera.
