Central Asian Republic Azerbaijan makes a big offer to Pakistan over energy front

ISLAMABAD – Azerbaijan on Tuesday offered Pakistan a supply of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) on a long-term basis and expressed interest in developing infrastructure of the commodity, especially related to oil and gas exploration activities.
A delegation of Azerbaijan, led by Ambassador Ali Alizada, expressed keen interest during a meeting with Minister for Petroleum Omar Ayub Khan.
Country head state-owned State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), Azerbaijan’s largest oil and gas company operating in many countries, accompanied the ambassador. ------------------------------
*PFC to participate in ‘Make in Pakistan Expo’* ------------------------------
The Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) will participate in a three-day ‘Made in Pakistan Expo’ in Baku, Azerbaijan, starting from October 28 for promoting furniture exports.
PFC Chief Executive Mian Kashif Ashfaq, while chairing a meeting of furniture exporters on Tuesday, said that Pakistani businessmen have shown keen interest in the exhibition and have aimed for the promotion of their products in the markets of Azerbaijan.
He stressed that such exhibition would certainly strengthen Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations and strengthening of ties between people.
