Pak delegation in Turkey to attend meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments

A Parliamentary delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Senate Saleem Mandviwalla has been arrived Turkey to attend the 3rd Meeting of the Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments in Antalya. 

On the sidelines of the conference, the delegation held bilateral meetings with the Speaker of Turkish Grand National Assembly, Speaker of the Parliament of Iran, Deputy Speaker of the Upper House of the Russian Federation Parliament and Speaker of the Northern Cyprus.

During a meeting, the Turkish Grand National Assembly Binali Yildirim, Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla appreciated Turkey’s steadfast support for Pakistan at Financial Action Task Force. 

During a meeting with Speaker Iranian Parliament Dr. Ali Larijani, Deputy Chairman Senate expressed the desire that both countries should further enhance cooperation in various sectors including the energy sector.

Speaker Larijani also stressed the need for completion of such projects and for finding ways and means to allow the two countries to do business.

In a wide-ranging conversation between Saleem Mandviwalla and Ilyas Umakhanov, Russian Deputy Speaker expressed hope to further improve existing ties with the new government.

In the meeting with Speaker of Northern Cyprus Teberruken Ulucay, the two sides discussed the need to enhance business and trade relations.
