LAHORE: (APP) Punjab Health Foundation (PHF) will provide interest-free smart loan up to Rs 700,000 to the general medical practitioners for setting up their clinics.
The PHF would also arrange training and capacity-building of the GPs regarding minimum service delivery standards (MSDS), quality general practice and medical ethics.
In this connection, University of Health Sciences and College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan would prepare training modules and PHC would verify the documents and degrees of the doctors.
It was stated by the Managing Director Punjab Health Foundation Dr. Sohail Saqlain after presiding over a meeting, here on Tuesday.
The representatives of PHC, UHS, PITB, CPSP and Family Physicians Association attended the meeting.
Dr. Sohail Saqlain informed that training would be arranged byUniversity of Health Sciences and certificates would also be distributed among the participants. He said that Punjab Information Technology Board would prepare database of GPs and also keep e-record of the GPs. The CPSP would extend cooperation with Punjab Health Foundation for capacity-building and training of the doctors, he added.
