IMF pressure: Federal Government announces to end subsidies phase wise

*ISLAMABAD - The officials of finance ministry has said that they will present a plan of gradually ending subsidy on petroleum products.*

According to the sources of Finance Ministry, dialogues between the government and officials of IMF will start from May 18. Dialouges will remain continue with IMF in Qatar till next ten days.

Sources say that 50 percent subsidy is likely to reuduce. IMF Officials relevant to package will visit Islamabad this week. In the meeting recommendations for coming budget will be discussed.

Currently, the government is giving subsidy of Rs65billion montly on petroleum products. Subsidy of RS 21 Billion and subsidy of Rs 44 billion is being given on diesel.
