Terrorists as country’s enemy to be exterminated soon: Governor Punjab

LAHORE: Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that terrorists were agents of Pakistan’s enemy and the government would exterminate their remnants and sympathisers.
Talking to the media after visiting the injured of Data Darbar suicide attack here at Mayo Hospital, he said the nation and political leadership were united in the face of terrosist attack, adding that terrorists play in the hands of enemies of the country who attack the innocent at mosques, hospitals and schools.
The Governor expressed solidarity with the families of victims in this hour of grief, adding that his thoughts were with the martyrs of the dastardly act of terrorism.
Responding to a question, the Governor said it was premature to claim whether the suicide attacker targeted the policemen or the Data Darbar which houses the shrine of Hazrat Ali Hajveri.
To another question, he said that terrorists were cowards, expressing the resolve to defeat terrorists and purge Pakistan of the evil existence of terrorists.
Sarwar told the media that five persons were critically injured while the condition of 16 injured of data Darbar incident was stable.
Governor Punjab Ch Sarwar hailed the emergency service Rescue 1122 and the medical staff including doctors and paramedical staff for providing best medical treatment to the injured.
