IDLAMABAD – Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javaid Bajwa has been included in the list of the most powerful people in the World as per the Forbes World's most powerful people in 2018.
Forbes in its World’s Most Powerful People list for 2018 includes Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Ranking on number 68, General Bajwa is among one of the 75 most powerful people in the world.
According to Forbes list, General Bajwa, who has completed two years into his tenure as the head of the world’s sixth largest army, has successfully established himself as a mediator and proponent of democracy.
Over the years, thanks to his efforts, Pakistan and India’s relations have been improving.
Gen. Bajwa, Pakistan’s 10th Chief of Army staff is a four star rank general, and is a recipient of Nishan-e-Imtiaz and Hilal-i-Imtiaz.
China’s president Xi Jinping ranked number one on the list, while American president Donald Trump was ranked number three. Mark Zuckerberg, Pope Francis, Saudi crown prince Mohammad bin Salman Al Said, Narendra Modi, UK Prime Minister Theresa May were also part of the list.
