Indian Supreme Court orders mediation in Babri Masjid case

Indian Supreme Court, in its judgement on Friday, ordered a formal mediation in the Babri Masjid case.

A five-judge bench led by Chief Justice of India formed a three-member panel to meet all the petitioners in the case.

The Supreme Court also allowed the mediators to induct more members in the committee.

The Chief Justice of India said mediation proceedings will remain confidential and there would be no reporting in media.
