New revelations made over Apple upcoming iPhone 13

The iPhone 12 series was expected to feature 120Hz displays at first, but that did not happen. A report now claims that the iPhone 13 Pro models will have it instead, and the panels will be sourced from Samsung as always.
The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max will have LTPO OLED displays with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. LTPO panels are more power-efficient than their LTPS counterparts and also support an adaptive refresh rate without requiring any additional hardware. The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini will continue to use LTPS panels with a 60Hz refresh rate for another year. ------------------------------

This is expected to change in 2022 as all iPhone 14 models are rumored to feature LTPO OLEDs. Apple may also source some of its displays from LG Display to reduce its reliance on Samsung Display next year.
However, Samsung is currently the only company that can meet Apple’s requirements as it is planning to produce 60,000 display panels a month this year. In contrast, LG is only able to produce 6,000 panels a month at the moment but aims to reach 25,000 by the end of 2021. ------------------------------

Rumor has it that Apple was planning to incorporate both 5G and 120Hz on the iPhone 12, but was unable to do so due to the phones’ limited power budget. Since LTPO panels are more power-efficient, Apple will be able to put together the two features without killing the already small-sized battery.
