Pakistan Railways Passenger train escapes major disaster and splits into two

A passenger train has escaped a major disaster when it split into two while changing tracks near Kotri Railway Station on Thursday morning.

Allama Iqbal Express was travelling from Peshawar to Karachi and when it reached Kotri station it broke into two parts while switching tracks.

Luckily, none of the passengers was hurt in the accident.

A large number of local residents gathered at the accident site.

Authorities were busy in replacing affected bogey for clearing the track for resumption of rail traffic.
