MUMBAI: Former Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit is all poised to work again with her former co-star from her box office hit ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ but this time round in Marathi movie.
The two Maharashtrian divas, Dixit Nene and Renuka Shahane last worked together 23 years ago in the blockbuster Salman Khan-starrer Hum Aapke Hain Koun.
According to Deccan Chronicle, this is Madhuri’s debut in Marathi cinema with director Prabha Vijay Deoskar’s ‘Bucket List’.
Renuka said, “I’m working with her again after 23 years. All those years ago, after that film, I hoped I’d get to work with her again. It has finally happened.”
Renuka, who is happy over the re-union with old friend, says “I have to say, if anybody does get a chance to work with her — be it a producer, actor or director — they should do it. She’s that fantastic.”
Titled Bucket List, the movie was shot in Mumbai. The film is slated to release this year.
On her part, Renuka returned to Hindi cinema after 14 years, with a movie ‘3 Storeys’. When asked about the limited number of movies to her credit, she says, “My children are still young. My oldest son is in Class X now, and will appear for his boards soon. I’m occupied with them all day. I can’t give much time to films or TV, but once they get into college, I’ll be seen more often.”APP
